Antique Heart Pine Select Grade Flooring
|
Heart pine is a type of high-quality timber widely used in the United States due to its strength, hardness, and beautiful golden-red to-yellow coloration. However, its popularity from colonial times to the Industrial Revolution led to overuse and deforestation, resulting in less than 3% of the remaining longleaf pine forests that once covered millions of acres throughout the American South.
Antique heart pine today is sourced by reclaiming it from post-industrial buildings and salvaged logs that fell before 1900. Our select wide plank reclaimed heart pine flooring provides this highly sought-after softwood for a spectacular and classic look. |
