Antique Resawn Oak Flooring

Resawn oak flooring starts with something most people would never expect to walk on: antique structural beams. These are the timbers that held barns and industrial buildings together for 200 years or more, old-growth white and red oak milled to a scale that no longer exists in modern lumber. We resaw them into wide-plank flooring, revealing interior wood that had never been exposed to light or air.
The result is a floor with the density and tight grain of old-growth oak, but a surface that feels fresh from the saw rather than weathered. The character comes from the wood itself: growth rings, grain movement, mineral streaking, knots, color variation, and the natural irregularities formed over centuries of growth. It is a cleaner, warmer look than our weathered reclaimed options, while still carrying the depth and character that only genuinely old wood can produce. Available as a mix of white and red oak, or sorted by species upon request. The gallery below shows this flooring in a range of finishes, including Bona Extra Matte, Rubio Monocoat Pure, and unfinished wood, offering a sense of how differently the material reads depending on finish and lighting conditions. |
