Antique White Oak Flooring
|
This flooring is sorted from our antique reclaimed oak inventory for boards that carry the appearance and character of white oak: long grain patterns, tight knots, and a warm, natural patina. The source is tobacco barn siding reclaimed from deconstructed antique structures throughout the Midwest.
Because these boards come from working barns rather than a single milled source, each plank carries evidence of its previous life. Nail holes, original saw marks, surface checking, and fossil insect scarring are all present and contribute to the floor's authenticity. The surface itself is smooth, allowing the character to read clearly without adding additional texture. The result is a floor that feels warm, grounded, and unmistakably old without becoming visually heavy or overly rustic. |
