PANELING & SIDING / ANTIQUE INTERIOR BROWN BARN
Reclaimed Antique Brown Barn Wood Siding
Antique brown barn siding, also known as brown board, comes from the interior walls and partitions of the same antique barns that produce our weathered grey siding. Because these boards were protected from direct sun, rain, and wind, they never weathered to silver grey. The result is a warmer, richer material that retains the natural brown tones of the original wood while still carrying a century or more of age, oxidation, and surface character.
The difference between brown barn siding and weathered grey siding is entirely a matter of exposure. Same barns, same age, same reclaimed character. The interior boards simply aged differently from the exterior ones. Each board is sorted, de-nailed, kiln dried, and custom-milled to the profile required for the project. Available in shiplap, tongue-and-groove, and straight-line ripped profiles for both interior wall paneling and exterior siding applications. |
