Reclaimed Douglas Fir Wood Beams

Reclaimed old-growth Douglas fir has a density, color, and structural presence that new lumber cannot replicate. These timbers were milled from Pacific Coast old-growth trees that often took centuries to mature, and they carry that history in their grain, weight, and scale.
We offer reclaimed Douglas fir beams in three primary surface finishes. Bright-sawn timbers are resawn on all four faces to reveal fresh wood, producing a clean, warm, golden surface suited to contemporary and modern timber-frame applications. Wire-brushed timbers retain more of the reclaimed character, while the surface is treated to raise the grain and soften color variation into a more consistent golden brown. Aged patina timbers are left as close as possible to their original reclaimed condition, with weathered surfaces, circular saw marks, oxidation, and evidence of previous structural use intact. We carry reclaimed Douglas fir timbers up to 30 feet in length, with common face dimensions ranging from 6x6 to 12x12 and larger. Specified tallies, custom sizing, surface cleaning, and finishing are available depending on the application and project requirements. |
