Canonica Chocolate Shop San FranciscoFounded in 1948 at the Geneva Airport, Canonica Chocolate has a long history of airport concessions in Europe. When the Swiss chocolatier expanded to San Francisco International Airport in 2018, Black’s Farmwood was asked to help realize a design inspired by a traditional Swiss alpine chalet. Working closely with the architects and designers, we supplied antique reclaimed-wood box beams, along with wall and ceiling paneling, for locations in Terminal 2 and the International Terminal. The reclaimed material brings warmth, texture, and authenticity to the retail environment, creating a distinctive setting that reflects the brand’s heritage.
