PROJECTS / SIERRA CLUB
Sierra Club in San Francisco, CAAs an environmentally conscious company, it is a tremendous honor to have Black's Farmwood reclaimed wood beams featured as the reception desk for the Sierra Club Headquarters in San Francisco.
Founded by John Muir in 1892, their mission statement is as follows: "To explore, enjoy, and protect the wild places of the earth; To practice and promote the responsible use of the earth's ecosystems and resources; To educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore the quality of the natural and human environment, and to use all lawful means to carry out these objectives." We provided reclaimed 12×12 resawn old-growth Douglas fir beams. The beams were salvaged from a large industrial warehouse on the California coast. Custom milling included band sawing four faces and cutting to length. Interested in creating a similar look in your space? |
